Which, I mean, I understood it as a gag about being scatterbrained and forgetting even important things almost immediately, but it had not occurred to me that making the speaker a woman could potentially add another dimension!
There’s no shortage of Godzilla comics, and I considered doing a longer series of them!
But I can’t turn everything into an epic, exhaustive work—much as that is my tendency. I’d never get anything else done! (As you know, I have other epic, exhaustive things I’m tryna do!)
I first encountered it in History of Animation back in college, Michaelangelo! And yeah, the credits really make it, and the toenails/claws are a nice touch.
I know I saw it once as a child, though I don't remember when or how (possibly an interstitial on PBS or HBO (during one of their free trial weekends)). I do remember the second time I saw it, though, as part of Spike & Mike's Classic Animation Festival. The entire audience yelled out "MARV!" as each credit appeared on the screen. That's the sort of audience engagement that makes communal filmgoing so rewarding.
That's totally me
That, in context, is an angle on the gag I did not spot.
Yeah I took it more as a gag on menopause brain lol

I'm always here for the Big Guy.

Thanks for the clips! It's been ages since I saw BMG: I'd forgotten how much I love the credits, and the toenails.
